HOW YOU CAN HELP
The community has many needs and BDPF is
pleased to be making a difference. To achieve
our objectives, we depend on donations, grants
and volunteers. Support is welcomed from all
sectors: private or public, individual or
organizational.
The mainstay of BDPF is unselfish volunteers who donate time to:
tutor children, motivate parents, work with the school system, prepare
materials, find possible resources and write grant proposals. Although
most volunteers live in Clarendon County, some live far away.
At present, there is an urgent need for math and science tutors.
The easiest way to help BDPF is through a monetary donation. We
need to purchase books and supplies, provide transportation for some
of our volunteers, supplement the funding for programs, and hire
specialized tutors. In the absence of existing suitable accommodations,
a vital need is to erect a modest multi-purpose building to house its
programs, its offices, Briggs artifacts and a community center. Only
with adequate facilities can BDPF continue to effectively help the people
of Clarendon County improve themselves and their community.
